The wedge wire screen is a newly developed product recently developed in the family of mine screens, which is characterized by easy leakage, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The mesh section is trapezoidal. The gap is narrow and wide. It can be widely used in mining, coal, petroleum, fertilizer, food, salt, environmental protection, and other industries.
1. Screen quality is unstable
The screen is mass-produced by mold casting. Due to the changes in the proportion of the ingredients, the fluctuation of the forming temperature, and the quality of the operators, etc., the quality of the screen may be unstable, resulting in a decrease in the screen's abrasion resistance, flex resistance, and bearing capacity.

2. There is a problem with the feeding amount
In the production process, if there are phenomena such as uneven feeding, excessive feeding drop, excessive feeding flow, etc., it will cause the screen to rupture and perforate. If the screen is not uniformly fed, it may cause local stress on the screen grid; if the drop of the feed exceeds 300mm or the feed flow is too strong, its impact on the screen will be greater.
3.Incorrect screen installation
The screen is tightened and fixed by the bolts on the left and right sides of the screen frame. The screen is installed on the supporting beam. The 13 reinforcing ribs of the screen should match the 13 supporting beams. If the bolts on the left and right sides are not adjusted properly when installing the screen, it will cause the screen ribs to be misaligned with the support beam, and the contact between the ribs and the support beam will reduce the bearing area. The pressure will increase, which will cause the joint of the screen mesh and the narrow ribs to rupture and perforate.
4. The worn support beam is not replaced in time
After the support beam of the vibrating screen is worn, sharpening, deflection and unevenness will appear. The sharpened part is like a knife-edge. The analysis shows that when the vibrating screen vibrates at high frequencies, the sharpened, deviated and uneven support beams will continuously impact, wear and cut the ribs of the screen, causing the screen to rupture and perforate prematurely.

5. Wedge wire screen reinforcement design is unreasonable
The screen has 7 longitudinal narrow ribs and 6 longitudinal wide ribs. Most of the screen rupture and perforation positions are at 7 longitudinal narrow ribs. We found that the narrow screen ribs were narrower than the supporting beam and did not coincide with the supporting beam. According to the analysis, the support beam is wide out of the screen reinforcement ribs, which can directly wear the screen mesh and cause the screen to burst and perforate.
The above is related to the wedge wire screen, I hope to help you.
