The wedge wire screen tube is also called Johnson filter tube. It is made of wedge wire, which is the most popular type because of its outstanding chemical stability and corrosion resistance.
Wedge wire screen tubes are manufactured by v-wire running radially on the outside surface of the screen cylinder or running axially on the inside of the cylinder. According to the relationship of the wedge wire and the supporting rod, there are four flow directions as below (see below). And one type is Internal axial wedge wire screen pipe, which is a kind of strainer that flows from inside to outside filtration.
Types:
According to the position and direction of surface profiles and support profiles, the wedge wire screen tube can be divided into four types.
Radial internal type. The filtering principle is flowing in to out. And the support profile is radial.
Radial external type. The filtering principle is flowing out to in. It is the standard type. The support profile is also radial.
Axial internal type. The filtering principle is flowing in to out. And the support profile is axial.
Axial external type. The filtering principle is flowing out to in. And the support profile is axial.
