Description
Description
Lautering is the process of separating sweet wort from the mashed grain.

The false bottom is standard in commercial breweries and very common in homebrew systems as well. It is the ideal lautering device for those who fly sparge because the uniform hole pattern prevents channeling, which can reduce extraction efficiency.
Lauter Tun Wedge Wire Screen False Bottom for berewery
Lauter Tun vessels are used in the craft beer brewing process between the mash tun and the brew kettle.  The lauter tun separates the barley husks from the clear liquid wort. The barley husks provide a natural filter bed through which the wort is strained and drains out of the lauter tun as a clear liquid.

A wedge wire screen is the preferred false bottom for lauter tun tanks in many breweries. The stainless steel wedge wire screen can be made in sections to fit through any man-way.

We manufacture wedge wire screens for the brewery industry. Stainless steel wedge wire screens provide a false bottom in a lauter tun in many craft beer breweries. The lauter tun screen is necessary for a proper separation process. All Yuanlv lauter tun/mash tun screens are custom built to your specifications. These wedge wire screens can be built as one piece/screen or in sections to fit through any size manway and are designed to sit on a ledge within the tank/kettle.
